Opening Committee
The success of our ball is largely down to the commitment of the student body, from whose ranks two representatives are traditionally elected each year to serve as ball presidents, who play an active role in all events relating to the opening of the ball. Registration for the opening must be done individually. The Ball Committee assigns each young person their respective opening partner. The young people taking part in the opening ceremony not only receive dance lessons for the ball’s opening during a series of rehearsals, but there are also youth cocktail parties to help them get to know one another, as well as punch parties and group ice-skating events.
